Welcome Back to the Panorama Hills Community Centre - Grand Opening on January 10
We’re excited to invite you to the grand opening of the Panorama Hills Community Centre (PHCC)! Our team is now setting up new spaces, installing equipment, and preparing every detail to ensure a smooth reopening for the community. Our facility will return to regular operations on January 5, 2026, with hours from 9 AM to 10 PM daily, excluding holidays. We ask for your patience as we prepare to welcome you back.
A Reimagined Community Hub
Join us as we open the doors to our brand-new community hub. The PHCC has been redesigned with more space, flexibility, and purpose-built areas for members to enjoy:
- Event Centre for large indoor gatherings, celebrations, and community events
- Program Centre with space for recreation, workshops, and youth activities
- Membership Lounge is a welcoming spot to meet, relax, and connect
- Boardroom for training, meetings, and group use
- Renovated lobby and lower level designed for easy flow and accessibility
The PHCC is now shaped to evolve with the needs of our diverse and growing neighbourhood. Whether you are hosting, learning, or recharging, this is your place to gather, connect, and celebrate.

- May 2024 – Construction for an addition to the existing building. New areas being added are: a community boardroom, office space, and mechanical room.
- April 2024 – Foundations and footing are complete. Horizontal concrete slab work proceeding. Concrete pours for the maintenance garage and outdoor patio area. Installation of a new transformer for electricity.

- February 2024 – Contractors have moved past the demolition phase and are now focused on securely placing the underground utilities as part of the overall foundations phase.
- December 2023 – There was a Groundbreaking Ceremony to commemorate the progress of the Expansion project.
- November 2023 – The construction project has begun and is progressing well. The contractor is currently excavating the site to prepare it for the foundation work.
- October 16, 2023 – PHCC officially closes office and park to all visitors to begin renovation. PHCC staff remain accessible via email (info@myphra.com) and phone (403.226.4386) during 9am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
- October 4, 2023 – The motion for $7.4 million in funding for the PHCC Expansion was passed with overwhelming approval from members in attendance at the 2023 AGM.

We want to make The Panorama Hills Community Centre a place where everyone feels welcome, connected, and valued. Expansion will:
Maximize indoor space of the facility to accommodate more programs and services for our community members
Create environments that are holistic, open, inviting, integrated, collaborative, interactive, multi-generational and anchored in social connections
Upgrade the amenities to meet the needs of our diverse community
Increase community pride and engagement by fostering a deep sense of belonging and identity

DESIGN
- This renovation and addition reinforces a culture of design excellence through functionality, accessibility, sustainable design, and member experience. The improved centre will further connect to the community, all while enhancing and enriching the quality of life for those who live, play and retire in the neighbourhood.
- The guiding principle for the expansion is to maximize indoor space to increase member experience while using the centre.

- Event Centre with 150 person occupancy and Kitchen facilities
- Program Centre with 100 person occupancy
- Outdoor Lounge
- Members Lounge
- Boardroom
- Lobby with member services counter and offices
