Pathway and River Clean up

Join us for the annual cleanup event where thousands of registered volunteers collect garbage in every quadrant of the city! Each year volunteers help remove litter in Calgary’s parks, greenspaces and along nearly 300 kilometres of pathways and river banks. This event is a fantastic opportunity to engage in community responsibility and make a positive impact on our local environment. Gather with fellow community members to clean up pathways and riverbanks, fostering teamwork and camaraderie in the Panorama Hills Community. Your efforts will help keep our community looking nice and clean while promoting a healthier ecosystem.

Jane’s Walk Along the Nose Creek Pathway

Join us for this year’s Jane’s Walk as we explore the natural beauty and hidden history along the Nose Creek Pathway. We’ll begin at the West Nose Creek Park parking lot and set out on a 3 km guided walk along the scenic pathway. Led by Andrew, Ward 3 Councillor, this journey will highlight the area’s watershed system, unique geological features, diverse wildlife, and rich cultural history. Elliott from Fresh Water Canada will also be joining us to share hands-on insights into freshwater ecosystems and the live creatures found in the creek. Along the way, we’ll make stops to discuss topics such as flood mitigation, local biodiversity, and the historical significance of this beloved green space. Whether you’re a seasoned local or new to the community, this Jane’s Walk is a wonderful opportunity to connect with your neighbours and learn more about the natural and historical treasures in your backyard. Bring your walking shoes, water bottle, and a sense of curiosity, we can’t wait to explore with you!

Tech Buddy Program – A Free 12-Session Program for Seniors

Collaborating with the MPC Foundation, the Tech Buddy Program connects seniors with volunteers for one-on-one help with smartphones, tablets, laptops, and digital tasks like email, video calls, and online safety. In a friendly, relaxed setting, seniors build confidence with technology.

Space is limited, and participants are expected to attend all sessions. The capacity depends on the availability of additional volunteers. If you are interested and the spots are full, please register on the waitlist. We will see if we can accommodate you. The deadline for registration is April 30.

Meditation and Reki Sound Bath – 18+

Join us for a restorative experience of guided meditation, Reiki energy healing, and sound healing. Randeep Parmar will lead a grounding meditation while offering Reiki, a gentle energy healing practice that supports relaxation, balance, and overall well-being. Brittney will provide a soothing sound bath using crystal singing bowls and grounding instruments, allowing vibration and sound to help calm the mind, relax the body, and support nervous system regulation. Together, this session is designed to ease stress, restore inner balance, and leave you feeling renewed, centred, and at peace.
