A members-exclusive Easter celebration featuring fun activities for the whole family! The festivities will kick off with an exciting Easter egg hunt, followed by games, face painting, a petting zoo, and a scenic wagon ride through our beautiful surroundings as we welcome the arrival of spring. To register for this event, please register for your preferred timeslot for the wagon ride. Registering also allows you to be contacted with updates directly related to this event.

Jane’s Walk is a global festival of free neighbourhood walking tours held every May in Calgary and around the world, encouraging people to share stories and insights about the places they know well. This year, we are excited to welcome guest speaker Andrew, president of the Nose Creek Preservation Society, who will lead a 3km walking tour along the Nose Creek pathway. This walk offers a unique opportunity to explore the rich history and natural environment of the Nose Creek. Starting at the West Nose Creek Park parking lot, participants will learn about local watershed systems, fascinating geological features, the area’s diverse wildlife, and its historical significance. Steam Train, Wagon Rides and S.S. Moyie at the Heritage Park – 1900 Heritage Drive SW

We are excited to announce that Heritage Park will have the Steam Train, Wagon Rides, and S.S. Moyie returning for the Victoria Day Long Weekend! Members can enjoy exclusive discounted tickets to the Heritage Park for this fantastic experience. Ride the authentic steam train to take in the scenic beauty of Heritage Park, hop on a delightful wagon ride, and cruise the Glenmore Reservoir aboard the historic S.S. Moyie. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the park’s rich history while creating lasting memories with family and friends!

Members can register for the available dates: May 17, 18, or 19.

Please register each participating family member individually.

Be sure to select the correct registration category: one is for children and youth aged 3 to 15 and another is for participants aged 16 and older, as pricing differs. Children under 3 can enter for free.

You will receive updates regarding this event, including instructions on how to pick up your tickets, closer to the date.

You are welcome to explore Heritage Park at your own pace during their opening hours on the date you have selected.

Coexisting with Coyotes and Other Wildlife (Guided Hike) – Weaselhead Natural Area Parking, 6634 37 Street SW

Join our knowledgeable naturalist for an enlightening “Coexisting with Coyotes and Other Wildlife” guided hike through the Weaselhead Natural Area! The area is home to a variety of species so there’s chance to spot red squirrels, white-tailed deer, beavers, and even coyotes! This scenic hike is a wonderful opportunity to engage with nature, learn about the important roles wildlife plays in our ecosystem, and appreciate the biodiversity of the area!

PS – This educational experience will take you along the main trail, leading from the Weaselhead parking lot to the Beaver Pond (approximately 2.5 km one way). The trail is mostly flat, with one fairly long hill that you’ll go down on the way out and up on the way back—there are spots to take breaks along the way.
