Message from the President of the PHRA Board of Directors

Fellow members of Panorama Hills Residents Association,

While we wait in anticipation of our new Panorama Hills Community Centre (PHCC) to open, I wanted to provide you an important update. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the re-opening of the community centre and the park area will be further delayed.

We are now estimating an early Fall 2025 re-opening at the earliest.

This was not the schedule that any of us were hoping for as this further delays our use of the PHCC and the park area. I share in the disappointment of many in our community, including our youth that have been looking forward to using the spray park and play areas during these hot summer days, while others are wanting to book celebrations and other events within the community centre.

The Board of Directors and I pressed our consultants to find ways to open the park area early, however the risks and safety concerns were found to be too great at this time. Our efforts have remained focused on the re-opening of the PHCC in the most efficient and safest way possible.

This centre is a key value-add to our community and benefits all of us including future generations of home owners in Panorama Hills. Our PHCC will re-open as a result of many volunteer, staff, consulting and construction hours giving us much to look forward to as a community. This includes a new 100 person Program Centre, a new 150 person Event Centre, a new outdoor patio and indoor member lounge, a new meeting room and a new welcoming lobby.

The Board of Directors and I sincerely thank you for your patience, your support and look forward to you joining us in celebrating the grand re-opening of our PHCC.

Sincerely,

Troy Davis

President of the Board of Directors
