Community Clean Up and Garage Sale 2024 update

Community Clean Up and Garage Sale 2024 update

The Panorama Hills Residents Association (PHRA) has always taken pride in fostering a sense of unity and environmental consciousness through our Community Clean Up and Garage Sale events. With the expansion of the Panorama Hills Community Centre (PHCC) underway, we are amidst an exciting phase of growth that promises enhanced facilities and more diverse programs for all our members but given the scale of construction and the commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, the PHRA will not be hosting the annual Community Clean Up and Garage Sale events for the year 2024.

We understand the value these events hold and the void their absence may create in our seasonal calendar, so we encourage all residents to seek out and participate in similar events happening nearby. Many neighboring communities are holding their own clean-up days and garage sales, and we urge you to explore their initiatives. For example, there is a Community Clean Up happening May 18 at North Trail High School (12500 Harvest Hills Blvd N, Calgary, AB T3K 0B2) – https://nhca.ca/community-clean-up/. If you happen to miss that, check out other Community Clean Ups on https://www.calgary.ca/communities/community-cleanups.html. To find a list of Garage Sales happening in May and June, visit https://www.familyfuncanada.com/calgary/garage-sales-on-parade/. This is a wonderful way to continue the spirit of our own events while exploring new areas and meeting new friends.

We still have many events happening within community greenspaces which you can find out more on by visiting myphra.com/events. From Taco Tuesday gathering to Chess Workshops and Father’s Day celebrations, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you for your understanding and support during this transformative period. The PHRA is dedicated to keeping you informed and involved throughout the expansion process. For the latest updates and alternative event locations during the PHCC closure, please visit our dedicated events page at myphra.com/events and the dedicated expansion page at myphra.com/phcc-expansion.
